Fenway Park, wadaya want?
on August 20, 2010
Another missed comic day this week. Monday’s was because of time mismanagement, today’s was because of baseball. I’m currently working a contract gig as a web designer (who knew?) and the company had their yearly pilgrimage to a Red Sox game last night. As a contractor, I didn’t know about it till someone asked me if I wanted to use an extra ticket. So I said “YES! I’llusethatextraticketthankyouverymuch!”. Needless to say, I’m currently operating under the “no buffer” method of web-comic production (the most used model I believe), so my comic creation time was spent at Fenway Park with beer and hot dogs. Stay tuned for Monday.

P.S. The Sox lost.
Yeah, the BoSox lost, but you got to see the game at Fenway! I can only see them when they’re on the boob tube losing to the Yankmees, or when they come to Camden Yards here in Baltimore! And I have to pay for those tix!
I’ve been on the no buffer method for the last month. All of my comics this week were a day behind due to me being lazy on Sunday. At least a baseball game is a good excuse, unlike staring at a TV like I was doing.
Fenway Park is one of the world’s best excuses for playing hooky. An expensive indulgence for those of us who live in the Boston area, but worthwhile. Scoring a free ticket enhances the experience!
And though the no-buffer webcomic model may well be the most common one, it’s probably not a good long-term business decision.
Well I never said I was good at business. 😉
