One Small Step

Hey all! Long time since the last post, huh?

Lots has been going on the last couple years. I looked for full time work for a LONG time, applied to well over 300 positions, and while I got close a few times, there was no brass ring. I guess I’ve aged out of corporate graphics work. So freelance and contract is the future for me. Luckily we’re doing OK for which I 100% credit my lovely, talented, smarter, better half.

On the negative side, we lost my Dad in January 2020. He had cancer and dementia and his passing was not unexpected. He wisely left before the pandemic and the family got to say goodbye. Then we ALL had the pandemic and lock downs for the rest of 2020 until around now. Coronavirus is starting to fade, so that’s good. Get vaccinated!

OSS is still on my mind and in my heart. I’m starting to work on new scripts (you’ve heard THAT before). In the mean time I’ve been doing political cartoons for Engaging Peace and Massachussetts Peace Action. You can see the cartoons and more in my Instagram feed. I’ve also become an Associate Representative of the Graphic Artists Guild in the New England Region. I was recently on a podcast for the Guild talking about cartooning. I’ll be updating my portfolio sites and taking commission work for graphic design, illustrations, personalized avatars, custom cartoons and more (if anybody is still looking here).
